Beijing Is Everything That We Dream Of!

China is a fabulous place to visit. With more than 14000 Km of coastline, desert and mountains this gigantic country has a lot to offer. This was our first family trip to China and nothing better than start with the capital city, Beijing.

The food is known for being creative and delicious. The location is well known and desired. So what else could I ask for? Nothing! After walking around the Louvre for the whole morning, nothing better that a good restaurant.

Since Spring Summer 15 collections, Chloe has been one of the shows that I had anticipated the most for fall—and Clare Waight Keller did not disappoint this season. The previous evening I had the pleasure to meet the designer in a very intimate and fabulous dinner hosted by the House of Chloe (see it here). The designer was gracious enough to come meet us all, the night before one of the most awaited shows in Paris.

The show took place at the Grand Palais and the Chloe models came down the runway with Fleetwood Mac playing in the background; highlighting the 70’s mood of the season. For fall, the Chloe “woman” left her light Broderie anglaise dresses at home, and opted for beautifully tailored coats and trousers— the man’s tailoring balanced with feminine care free pieces gave her another confidence. The 70’s play a key role for the house this season, and I can’t wait to have those small tassel bags in my closet. Chloe definitely delivered a fabulous show, I once again can’t wait for it to arrive in stores.

Raf Simons is taking an adventurous route with the house of Dior — from his interpretation of the animal print and skin tight boots, the season delivered some much unexpected pieces.

The show started mid-afternoon at the Louvre, the light pink runway and the rays of the Parisian sun highlighted what will be one of the hottest items for Fall 2015–sky high and skin tight boots with chucky Lucite heels—I had the pleasure to see them first hand at the Dior showroom, and it is just as good as you expect them to be. The animal print had a slight camouflage feel, and the Dior tailored jackets and coats were combined with knitted dresses and separates, giving the Dior woman that chic comfort. As for accessories, the new sunglasses will sure be a hit, and the Diorama bag will definitely be the IT bag of 2015.

Fashion week started! But it’s not all about runway shows and showroom visits, there is a lot more that goes into the daily routine of a stylist. So follow me during my first days and see how I time manage…
My first days in Paris were all about visiting the stores, checking out the new arrivals, and styling the perfect ensembles for a few of my clients who were attending the Shows, or visiting Paris. I am staying at Champs-Elysees, so my favorite boutiques are a walking distance from where I stayed—remember that when traveling to Paris location is key!
First stop—Balmain. Spring collection just started to arrive in stores and it’s F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C!!!! The leather pieces were the highlight of the season, and the collection looks are very bright and fun. Valentino was my next stop, again, SS15 is just arriving in stores—rich embroideries, lots of prints, and amazing new bags. As a stylist, I make sure to try ALL the pieces to check the size and fit; all in between calls, texts, and emails.
First day was all about shopping, the second day was about fittings, and deliveries. It’s just as fun as it looks, check it out…
