This year our summer vacation was in Australia! Our first stop was in Melbourne. We had only 3 nights in this wonderful city … and it was not enough. During our stay, we went on two tours, and one of them lasted 12 hours!
Phillip Island
This tour was very anticipated by my kids Mark and Matthew, because during this tour we got to see more than 2000 penguins returning to the beach during a beautiful sunset. if you want to see the penguins, don’t forget to buy the ticket that includes the “penguins viewing,” otherwise you will miss it. All photos and videos were forbidden, but I found a Penguin Parade Day Tour video from the “Go West “tourism agency website – they were wonderful! I totally recommend their service.
We also visited the Koala Conservation Center, but we only saw one koala awake. All the others were taking a 20 hour nap…
I was already very impressed with Philip Island,but our second ride was even more incredible!!
Great Ocean Road Tour
This tour drives you around 373 miles of enchanting beauty! Here you’ll find amazing beaches, including the wonderful Bells Beach. You will also become the living proof that Australians begin to surf at a very young age… no matter the season. You cannot miss this tour without a shadow of a doubt!
We made several stops in different beaches, and each beach was prettier than the last. We also visited the Wildlife Park and fed the birds! later on we went for a walk in the forest…
