Located 1200 feet above the Pacific Ocean, among majestic state Parks, beaches and waterfalls, you will find Post Ranch Inn. The site was once the William and Anselma Post cattle ranch. Anselma, who was Native American, was one of the original inhabitants of the region.

And it was during my “weekend getaway” in Big Sur, that I had the pleasure of dining at Sierra Mar Restaurant, located in the Post Ranch Inn. Lunch and dinner are open to the public by reservation, while the fabulous breakfast is only for guests.

Under the Executive Chef John Cox, you will find in Sierra Mar the most delicious fine dining experience. I would go back every weekend if I could! They also have the largest wine selection in North America, and as you may know, my husband gets very enthusiastic about that. Take a look at what you will find in Sierra Mar and remember that “in reality”  it will be 100 times better!!
