It’s true, one of the greatest joys of visiting Istanbul is the food! So many restaurants and so little time. Lades, khorasani, Namli Gurme, among others (check the book ISTANBUL EATS EXPLORING BACK STREET) are part of the big variety of restaurants that you can dine, when in Istanbul. I already told you a little bit about the FOOD TOUR, and now I want to show you the two favorites of mine: Ciya Kebab Lahmacun & Zubeyir Ocakbasi
@ Ciya Kebab you don’t get only the best kebab ever, you will get delicious dishes from Mesopotamia to the Ottomans, from the Balkans to the Caucasus, and from Asia to the Arabian Peninsula.
@ Zubeyir Ocakbasi you will find another great kebab place, located in a historic building near the pedestrian-only İstiklal Caddesi. The two story restaurant is a bit like Turkey’s hot and smoky answer to the sushi bar, with few seats available at grill side, where you can watch the chef do his magic.
