During my trip to Iceland, I had the pleasure of dining at the Grillmarkadurinn restaurant. With cool ambience, beautiful and delicious dishes, that is the place to go. The actual building is a reconstruction of original from 1920. The place that was a cinema with seating for approximately 500 people, turned into a bar in 1987, and the bar was eventually destroyed by a fire in 1998.
In 2011, the reconstruction was made to house the Grillmarkadurinn. Everything, over there is done with fresh products from local farms, and the results couldn’t be better! We had Salmon and Beef Tenderloin and we totally recommend!!!:-)
