“You don’t need a silver fork to eat good food.”
– Paul Prudhomme
It was my first time visiting Le Coq Rico in France, and I absolutely loved it. We ordered their famous roasted chicken, and it was simply delicious—perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and incredibly satisfying. Not only do I highly recommend it, but I can honestly say I’m still craving it!
While dining there, I learned that poultry is truly a specialty in French cuisine, with countless traditional and modern recipes dedicated to it. After tasting that chicken, I’m convinced I could happily eat every single poultry dish on the menu without hesitation. The care, technique, and respect for the ingredients are evident in every bite.
At Le Coq Rico, they are committed to working with the best farmers in the region to ensure the highest-quality products. This dedication extends to every detail—even the eggs are exceptional. The menu also changes with the seasons, highlighting the freshest ingredients available and keeping each visit unique and exciting.
If you’re not planning a trip to France anytime soon, there’s good news: Le Coq Rico also has a location in New York. I haven’t been there yet, but it’s definitely on my list, and I can’t wait to try it.
I’m thrilled they’ve made it to New York—but I can’t help wishing they would open a location in San Diego. I know, I might be asking for too much… but let me dream!
So, go there with appetite and don’t forget to leave room for dessert!
