Located on Capitol Hill near Union Station on the Senate side of the Capitol, the Bistro Bis is a modern version of a traditional French bistro with zinc bar, tall columns, dining area with tile floor in a sophisticated and warm ambiance. The menu is the traditional french bistro but with a modern interpretation, and no wonder politicians and celebrities have Bistro Bis in their list of places to go. I had a wonderful family dinner there last week and I love it!! 🙂
The beef bourguignon was very tasty and the onion soup was delicious.
We also tried …
Steak Frites, and for dessert Glace où sorbet and Chocolate Gâteaux…divine!
They also have a very nice European wine list with some excelent and fairly priced wines.
Bistro Bis is the second restaurant of Chef Jeffrey Buben, and it was opened in 1998.
I found the service flawless and we only waited a few minutes for our food to arrive.
All in all, I highly recommend the Bistro Bis:-)
